A kvůli tomuhle mraku nemohl přilétnout vrtulník!
Two times Mengusovska dolina painted in atelier. In an attempt to keep a freshness even in this larger format these were painted under time limit of three hours. Number two is done in two hours, number one in two and half hour. Contrary to plain air I have used kremnitz white. I do not use this white in plain air as there is usually limited possibility to wash hands. It means that there is the safe option in titan white for the plain air. But in the atelier this beauty among whites can shine. In my case there is still some potential of this white unused, as I paint alla prima usually and this pearl white would be better in layers and glazing.
The Mengusovska dolina I is special as this is a portrait of a cloud following us during the hike to the Rysy peak. But on the way back from the Rysy peak my wife broke her leg... in spite of rich experience in mountains and excellent equipment, shoes including. And due to this cloud a helicoptere could not fly! So, it was the task for the mountain rescue team of eight mountaneers, later reinforced by other four members. This team got my wife down to an ambulance. During their trek to us, Dušan, a "sherpa" from the chalet pod Rysmi, carried my wife to the shalet to wait for the rescue team. They all are excellent profis and moreover they were in agood mood! It is nice to know that there are people like them.
